Attractions in San Diego

Ariva Apartments are in the heart of San Diego.  This means that you are close to all of the great attractions that San Diego has to offer.  You do not need to wait for a weekend trip to visit a zoo or an amusement park when they are all within a close distance.  Here are some of the great attractions that you can visit when your home is at Ariva.

The San Diego Zoo will be open for 100 years in 2016.  This long running zoo is one of the best in the world.  The zoo is open from 9am-6pm everyday, but these hours can change so make sure to check their website before you visit.  The San Diego Zoo has five classifications of animals throughout the park.  This includes everything from lions to beetles. Make sure to take visit your favorite animals at one of the most famous zoos in the country. 

Did you play with Legos as a kid?  If you did, San Diego is the place to be as an adult.  Legoland is just around the corner.  You can see life-size lego displays that you dreamed about as a child.  Also, you can ride the attractions and explore the waterpark with some friends on your day off.  Take a mini trip and see a life size death star and pretend to be a child for the day.  Legoland is the perfect place to get away from being an adult and remember your childhood. 

Finally, do you want to see Shamu with your friends.  You are in luck because Sea World San Diego is just a short trip away. This month Sea World has “Magic Weekends”.  Not only can you go see Shamu and friends, but you can take in a magic show while you are there.  However, Sea World is more than just animal shows.  There are plenty of attractions that will keep you happy for the entire day.  

These three famous attractions are one of the great benefits to living in the heart of San Diego.  They are all a short commute from Ariva, and they will provide you with a great day of entertainment and fun!

Festivals and Weekend Events in San Diego

San Diego has many events for you to attend throughout the week.  However, this weekend there are some great events that you should try to schedule into your weekend activities.  Ariva Apartments are centrally located to many great events. These are also great opportunities to network or meet some new young professionals in the San Diego area. 

Taste of Hillcrest

This is the festival that is made for foodies.  There are over 40 restaurants expected to attend this event that takes over the entire Hillcrest neighborhood.  From noon to 4pm on Saturday, you can attend a self guided tour through some of the best restaurants in the San Diego area.  The entire festival spans over 12 city blocks.  Make sure to plan ahead and get your tickets here.

Fallbrook Avacado Festival

Are you a fan of Avocado? Then make sure to check out this festival on Sunday! This festival has more than just avocados though.  You can explore the craft and clothing vendors while sampling some great foods from around the area. The event will start at 9am on E Alvarado Street and South Main Avenue in Fallbrook. Finally, this great festival includes live entertainment and beer gardens. 

San Diego Earth Fair

Finally, this Earth Day fair on Sunday is the largest in the world.  It draws up to 60,000 visitors each year. There will be more than 300 exhibitors selling goods and services from around the area.  You can take a break from the vendors and check out the live entertainment and food pavilion.  Admission is free and a great way to enjoy your Sunday afternoon.

Change Up Your Coffee Routine

 Do you need your morning coffee to get through the day?  Everyone could use a little caffeine boost to be productive first thing in the morning.   If we were to choose, we would want our coffee as close to our home as possible.  That is why we have found some of the best coffee shops in the Serra Mesa area near Ariva Apartments.  There are a few choices within the area that will be a great option for your morning commute. 

Refresh Coffee is located in Northside drive in San Diego.  They are open Monday thru Friday from 7am-4pm.  They specialize in various drinks from iced beverages to apple cider.  You can even grab your morning snack from their various pastries and snacks.  Their reasonable prices and amazing baristas make this place a favorite for locals in the area.  Try one of their delicious beverages during your next commute. 

Village Cafe is a little further than Refresh Coffee, but it has many options that make the commute a little more appealing.   They are located next to Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley.  They are open everyday starting at 7am.  This makes it a great choice for the weekend commuters.  Village Cafe offers more than just coffee.  Their breakfast has everything from wraps to omelets for you to try.  Come enjoy the free wifi and start your day off with a delicious meal at Village Cafe.

GoodOnYa Deli is located in Sky Park Court in Kearny Mesa.  This is a great place to grab some lunch on the way to work.  They are open Monday through Friday 6:30am-4:00pm.  They offer coffee, tea, breakfast, and other healthy breakfast and brunch options.  They strive on offering healthy options that everyone will enjoy.  They also use local vendors whenever possible.  Make sure to try this healthy healthy for your next breakfast or lunch.

Omnia Night Club Is Coming To San Diego

Omnia Nightclub will be opening in San Diego.  This is the club's second location, and if the first location's opening was any suggestion... you do not want to miss this.   The nightlclub is located in Gaslamp Quarter.  There will be a huge grand opening, and you could be there to see it for the first time.  You can learn more at justluxe.

Alright party people, you can rest easy because the new OMNIA Nightclub in San Diego will finally be opening its doors on Thursday, April 30. The club’s second location (the first being in Las Vegas, of course) is situated in the heart of downtown’s Gaslamp Quarter and promises to be every bit as luxurious and exciting as we are all expecting. Though we only have the above concept photo to go off on in terms of aesthetics, the venue’s rooftop will definitely be taking advantage of San Diego’s warm weather and starry nights.

To celebrate its opening, OMNIA is throwing a huge grand opening featuring some top electronic music talents, including some favorites from their 2015 DJ residency roster. The nightclub hasn’t revealed who will be there yet, but we’re hoping Calvin Harris shows up on Friday for an opening performance like he did for the Vegas location. With general admission tickets for that night costing $75 (while Thursday and Saturday both cost $40), OMNIA has to have something big planned.
